Demographic: Residents of Hackney

 

Hackney Council produce a community report each year for the residents of the borough. They wanted something rich and vibrant that really captured the feeling of the area whilst also being clear and easy to read.

Key words that came out of the initial brainstorm were: Diverse | Energetic | Gritty which influenced the design, typeface and colourscheme.

I created a bespoke typeface for the report headings that I felt reflected the jagged and edgy vibe of Hackney.
